Top 10 Most Valuable Passports in the World 2025

The latest Henley Passport Index, a ranking of the world's passport strength, has been released, and it reveals some interesting changes in the global travel landscape.

Singapore takes the top spot, with its passport offering visa-free access to an impressive 193 countries. Japan and South Korea share the second place, both granting visa-free access to 190 destinations. Seven European countries - Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain - share the third place, each offering visa-free access to 189 countries.

The United States, traditionally a high-ranking country, finds itself in the 10th place this year. This drop is attributed to more restrictive entry policies in recent years. The US passport grants access to 182 destinations, a figure matched by Iceland, Lithuania, and the United Kingdom, which ranks 6th on the list.

Greece, Switzerland, and New Zealand are in the top five, allowing visits to a total of 187 countries without a visa. The United Arab Emirates has moved up to the 8th place, while Saudi Arabia is ranked 54th.

Interestingly, 28 European countries appear in the Top 10 of the Henley Passport Index. However, Belarus, a European country, ranks 62nd, with access to only 81 countries.

The rise in the rankings for the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and China is due to the latest visa waiver agreements and easing of entry requirements. This trend suggests a growing global trend towards increased travel freedom and cooperation.
