The annual WISE Serbia Women's Network event is set to take place on October 16 at Fabrika Events in Belgrade. The event, organized by the Center for the Promotion of Sustainable Development and GIZ, aims to celebrate and promote the role of women in the energy transition and sustainable energy sector. The event will be officially opened by H.E. Anke Konrad, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Jovana Joksimović, Assistant Minister for International Cooperation, European Integration, and Project Management at the Ministry of Mining and Energy.
Maja Turković, Executive Vice President at CWP Europe and the 2023 Leader in Sustainable Energy awardee, will moderate a panel discussion at the event. The event will also feature the announcement of the Female Leader in Sustainable Energy 2025 award, with voting open until October 10 on the WISE Serbia website. Ten outstanding women have been nominated for the award.
The WISE Serbia network, established in 2018, has been instrumental in promoting women's roles in the energy transition and sustainable energy sector. Despite extensive searches, the name of the network's co-founder remains unknown.
Registration for the event is open until October 14 or until places are filled via the provided LINK, with free participation. The event promises to be an inspiring celebration of women's contributions to sustainable energy and a chance to recognize and honor outstanding female leaders in the field.
