Upgraded Schedule for the Young Generation

In the vibrant city of Düsseldorf, young people have a unique opportunity to shape their own content through editorial groups, with Youpod at the forefront of this movement. Youpod, based at the Düsseldorf Youth Ring, is an online platform that bridges the gap between young media users and established print products.

Jennifer Töpperwein, head of Youpod, is particularly excited about the potential collaboration between the online and a print product. The platform covers a wide range of topics, including current news from all areas of the city, events, theater reviews, sports, happenings, and practical information for young people.

If you're interested in journalism, mark your calendars for regular editorial meetings and media workshops at Youpod. For those with a creative flair, you can upload articles, photos, or audio files on the platform to share your ideas with the community.

The Düsseldorf Youth Ring, which coordinates the collaboration between Youpod and a printing production, also hosts various events throughout the city. For instance, the Street Art Workshop during Holidays is scheduled for April 15-18 at Nordkap.familie. If you're a budding artist, this could be an excellent opportunity to hone your skills.

For music enthusiasts, LoopStation - Your Sound and Song Workshop is scheduled for April 11, 5-8 PM, free of charge at Falkenheim Gerresheim. If yoga is more your thing, head over to the Youth Center Teestube on April 12 for a session from 3:15-4:30 PM, also free of charge.

The Düsseldorf Youth Ring also oversees entities like the Düsseldorf Fan Project and the Youth House. In addition, they represent the interests of youth organizations and actively shape youth policy in the city.

One event not to be missed is Confident German Speaking for girls and young women aged 15-27, scheduled for April 17, 3:30-4:30 PM, free of charge at the Girls' Meeting Point Leyla, Corneliusstraße 59.

Lastly, for those interested in martial arts, Muay Thai for Girls at Z4 is scheduled for April 13, 2-3 PM, with a small fee of 50 cents at the Youth Center Z4, Altenbrückstraße 14.

With so many exciting events and opportunities, there's never been a better time to get involved in Düsseldorf's thriving youth scene.
