News Article: Thailand Introduces New Digital Arrival Card for Foreign Travelers
Starting May 1, 2025, all foreign travelers entering Thailand are required to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival. This digital form replaces the previous paper TM6 form and must be submitted via the official TDAC platform within 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival.
To fill out the TDAC, travelers should:
- Access the official Thailand Digital Arrival Card website or approved application.
- Provide passport details, personal information, travel itinerary, accommodation address in Thailand, and a health declaration.
- Submit the form individually or as a group (e.g., family or tour group) depending on your travel circumstances.
- After submission, you will receive a confirmation email or PDF that must be shown to immigration officers upon arrival.
Failure to complete the TDAC prior to arrival may result in delays at immigration as you may be asked to fill it out on-site, or in worse cases, denial of entry. The form must be submitted every time you enter Thailand, irrespective of visa status, mode of arrival (air, land, sea), or traveler category (tourists, expats, visa-exempt travelers).
The TDAC system aims to enhance security and help Thai authorities track foreigners more efficiently. It is important to only use the official TDAC platform to avoid scams. The TDAC website is available in five languages: English, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
The new TDAC system will make the immigration control process faster, more convenient, and safer. It is part of Thailand's efforts to modernize and streamline its immigration process. The QR code generated upon agreeing to the data in the questionnaire and receiving the code by email can be saved on your device for easy access.
