Ukraine's 90% Drone Defense Success: Now Exporting Expertise and Weapons to Europe

Ukraine, with a remarkable 90% success rate, is countering all types of Russian drones and missiles. The country, led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is now offering its battlefield experience and expertise to European nations to help them fend off Russian drone incursions. Meanwhile, Ukraine is balancing its plans to export domestically produced drones with agreements to purchase American weapons.

Ukraine's interceptor drones, priced at around €4,200 per UAV, can reach speeds and heights comparable to larger Russian drones. This affordability and capability have sparked interest from several European countries, including Poland and Germany. Ukraine is exploring export partnerships with the US, Europe, and global supporters of Ukraine, with Poland already seeking its expertise after Russian drones entered its airspace.

Ukraine's drone production is substantial, with over 4 million drones manufactured annually. With sufficient funding, this number could double. The country is also sharing its drone defence expertise with Denmark through a military exercise called 'Wings of Defence'.

Ukraine's success in countering Russian drones and missiles, coupled with its affordable and capable interceptor drones, has positioned it as a key player in European defence. As it begins exporting domestically produced weapons, lifting a restriction introduced at the start of the war, Ukraine is set to strengthen its allies' aerial defence capabilities.
