In the heart of Munich, preparations for Oktoberfest 2025 are underway, and the spotlight is on the traditional attire that will grace the festivities. The Trachten Angermaier collection presentation revealed the anticipated trends for dirndls and lederhosen, promising a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity.

For the ladies, dirndls are set to captivate with soft, feminine details such as flutter sleeves, bows, and scalloped hems, emphasising delicate and sweet aesthetics. Materials ranging from cotton and velvet to silk and wool will ensure comfort in the varying weather conditions of Oktoberfest. Dirndls will continue to have snug fits, often with one pocket for authenticity, and will be available in a variety of colours and patterns, allowing for personal expression while retaining the classic three-piece structure of dress, apron, and blouse.

Men's lederhosen for 2025 will showcase authentic craftsmanship, using premium leathers such as deerskin, goatskin, and cowhide to ensure durability and tradition. Both short lederhosen and longer “bundhosen” styles will be popular, detailed with hand embroidery, traditional buttons, and stitching. The lederhosen trends will marry heritage with functionality, making them perfect for festivity and comfort during the event.

Accessories will play a crucial role in completing these traditional outfits, contributing to the overall Bavarian look for both men and women at Wiesn 2025.

The dirndl blouses for 2025 will feature a striking highlight - completely transparent, high-necked blouses with embroidery. The skirts for 2025 are getting longer, and olive tones, berry, or blue are the predicted colours for the dirndls.

Notable attendees at the Trachten Angermaier collection presentation included actress Annika Lau, who expressed her enthusiasm for wearing a dirndl, stating that she rarely gets the opportunity to do so in Munich. Actor Michel Guillaume, a colleague of Annika Lau, also announced his love affair after 18 years. Annika Lau's daughter Lilly is coming from Los Angeles for the Wiesn.

Vroni Sbrizzai, a former Wiesn-Playmate for the year 2024, attended the presentation, and shared her anticipation for the Wiesn with some VIPs. Producer Martin Krug is also expected to attend the festivities.

As the countdown to Wiesn 2025 begins, it's clear that the event will celebrate classic Bavarian style with modern refinements. The dirndls will feature charming feminine flourishes, while the lederhosen will combine authentic materials and craftsmanship, making both traditional and stylish statements.

In the realm of fashion-and-beauty, the traditional dirndls for ladies in Munich's Oktoberfest 2025 will adorn longer skirts in hues of olive, berry, or blue, and the blouses will boast a transitive, high-necked design with intricate embroidery. Meanwhile, the travel-related platforms and magazines covering home-and-garden segments might be reporting on the increasing interest in modernized yet authentic lederhosen for men, which will be available in both short and longer styles, showcasing premium leathers and traditional details.
