Train tour company IRCTC debuts the 5th Shri Ramayana Yatra journey commencing July 25, sharing route, dates, and booking specifics.
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is set to launch the fifth edition of the "Shri Ramayana Yatra" train tour on July 25, 2025. This 17-day spiritual journey will cover over 30 iconic locations tied to the Ramayana, including lesser-known but important places connected to Lord Ram’s life and the Ramayana's narrative.
The pilgrimage will be conducted aboard the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train. This luxurious train features AC I, II, and III class accommodations, sensor-based restrooms, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles, and even foot massagers. Onboard amenities include full-service restaurants, modern kitchens, sensor-enabled restrooms, shower cubicles, and foot massagers.
The tour will depart from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station and will take passengers to key destinations such as Nandigram (near Ayodhya), Buxar (with visits to Ramrekha Ghat and Rameshwarnath Temple), Prayagraj and Shringverpur, significant sites related to Lord Ram's exile, and Dhanushkodi, near Rameshwaram, which is included on the last leg of the tour before returning to Delhi.
The all-inclusive tour package includes 3-star hotel stays, vegetarian meals, road transfers, guided sightseeing, and travel insurance. Tour managers and security personnel will accompany passengers throughout the tour, ensuring comfort and safety.
