Tour Guide Dmitry Mikhailov, a renowned blogger, gains Yakutian certification
In the heart of Siberia, Dmitry Mikhailov has made history as the first certified guide-tourist in Yakutia. This milestone was achieved following the mandatory certification of guides, guide-interpreters, and instructors that took effect across all regions of Russia from July 1, 2022.
Mikhailov, a well-known collector of urban legends and author of collections of Yakutian scary stories, was congratulated by Timur Khandy, the Minister of Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Tourism, for his certification. The certification process was initiated by a decree issued by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
