The upcoming Oktoberfest takes center stage as the foremost historical milestone in the European Union's chronicles.

The upcoming Oktoberfest is shaping up to be an unforgettable event, with numerous attractions and surprises in store for visitors.

Lord Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD) and Christian Scharpf (SPD) will lead a tour of the Oktoberfest grounds, and surprisingly, the Mayor won't need rubber boots for the carriage ride during the entrance of the Wiesnwirte on Saturday.

One of the highlights of this year's festival is the Sky Lift by Tino Kollmann, standing tall at 71 meters, offering a breathtaking view of the festival grounds. For those seeking a more whimsical experience, the children's ride 'Die Montgolfière' - a hot air balloon-themed carousel - is not to be missed.

The museum tent, the only tent where Wiesn history is the main focus, operated by Yvonne Heckl, serves as the starting point for the tour. A new addition to the museum tent this year is a photo exhibition featuring images from the past.

The tour will also include a visit to the Olympia Looping, which is being used to promote Munich's bid for the Olympic Summer Games. The ghost train, a long-time favourite, has been owned by Johann Schmid's family since 1965. Schmid claims that the ghost train is so old, there are really ghosts in it.

Fenzl, the winner of the Referat für Arbeit und Wirtschaft competition, known as 'Bierdringa' and plays the double bass, is responsible for a rhythmic brass song that gives a taste for beer. Fenzl's 'Liad für d'Wiesn' will be presented at Café Theres, previously known as Café Mohrenkopf, now run by Katharina Wiemes and Augustiner-Wirt Oliver Wendel.

The new Paulaner Weißbiergarten 'Isarschanke' is another exciting addition to this year's Oktoberfest. With a babbling fountain and serving beer classics from the 70s, it's a must-visit for beer lovers.

Lastly, the Geisterhöhle (ghost train) will make its debut on the Oidn Wiesn this year, adding an extra dose of excitement to the festival. The weather forecast for the mentioned day is excellent, promising a perfect Oktoberfest experience.
