The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made a significant impact at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, with its impressive pavilion attracting over 1 million visitors since its opening in April. The second-largest pavilion, surpassed only by Japan's own, the Saudi pavilion offers an immersive and educational experience of Saudi culture, innovation, and contemporary art.

Designed by Foster + Partners, the pavilion features organic forms reminiscent of traditional Saudi villages, with a focus on sustainable architecture. The structure is intended to be dismantled and reassembled elsewhere after the Expo, demonstrating the Kingdom's commitment to environmental responsibility.

Visitors are transported through winding streets, interactive exhibits, and nightly shows that reveal different aspects of Saudi culture and environment, such as the Red Sea and desert landscapes. The pavilion also houses two cultural studios, used for hosting workshops, exhibitions, and live performances by Saudi artists. These studios have organized over 115 events since the Expo began, providing a platform for cultural exchange and understanding.

The art exhibitions feature contemporary Saudi artworks tailored for a Japanese audience, aiming to promote cultural ties between the two countries. Visitors can engage with Saudi artists, musicians, and scientists, further enhancing the cultural exchange and understanding of Saudi heritage.

A special event, "Wonders of Arabia," running from July 10 to 16, offers a deeper dive into Saudi culture, hospitality, art, and traditions. This event includes interactive experiences and a collaboration with the popular Japanese character Doraemon. Participants can also take part in a limited-edition tote bag giveaway for answering quiz questions correctly, promoting further engagement with Saudi culture.
