Russia's New Tourist Trains: 'Sochi' & 'Zum Meer der Weinberge' Launch in 2024
Two popular tourist trains, 'Sochi' and 'Zum Meer der Weinberge', will operate in Russia in 2024. Russian Railways (RZD) and Kavkazskaya Zheleznaya Doroga (Caucasus Railway) will run these trains, offering unique experiences to passengers.
The trains will follow a circular route from Moscow to Taganrog to Sochi and back to Moscow. Passengers can enjoy a 'train-hotel' format, featuring comfortable coupe and SV wagons equipped with air conditioners, showers, outlets for mobile devices, and a dining car.
The journey will include visits to the Matsesta Tea Plantations, the Olympic Park, and the 'Dendrarium' Park in Sochi. Three different excursion programs have been developed to cater to various interests. The 'To the South' train will commence its first journey on November 1st.
The 'Sochi' and 'Zum Meer der Weinberge' trains, operated by RZD and Kavkazskaya Zheleznaya Doroga, promise an exciting and comfortable travel experience. With diverse excursion programs and a convenient 'train-hotel' format, these trains are set to attract many travelers in 2024. The 'To the South' train will begin its maiden voyage on November 1st.
