Perplexed Traveler Shocked - Facing Unprecedented Experience

On Tuesday, March 4, an unexpected event unfolded during one of his hikes. As Carsten's group was preparing to embark on their usual route near the Paracelsus-Harzklinik in Bad Suderode, an elderly man named Günther approached. After a brief encounter, Günther decided to join the hiking group.
The hike was no ordinary stroll, as it included a steep ascent that presented challenges for the group, especially when it came to pushing Günther's electric wheelchair. However, the group rallied together, working in unison to help their new companion.
Günther's spirits remained high throughout the hike, his joy evident despite the difficulties. He expressed particular delight upon reaching the top of the hill, a sentiment echoed by Carsten who felt exhausted but happy after the hike.
Günther had read about Carsten's doubts regarding the hike's suitability for his electric wheelchair. Despite this, he confidently confirmed his intention to join, undeterred by the three-hour duration of the hike.
For Carsten, this hike with Günther was one of the highlights of the past 14 years of leading hikes at the Paracelsus-Harzklinik. Carsten and his partner Manuela Petri have published more than thirty books together, many of which document the legends, fairy tales, and anecdotes from the Harz region.
