PAULA's World Children's Day Festival Brings Together 180 Kids Celebrating Diversity
The Intercultural Meeting Point in Heidkamp, operating under the name PAULA, hosted a vibrant World Children's Day festival. Around 180 children and young people attended the event, which took place during the autumn holidays. The PAULA team, responsible for creative programming, ensured a day filled with cultural exchange and artistic expression.
The 'Day at GL' newsletter, sent daily at 7:07 AM, kept locals informed about the festival. The PAULA team, dedicated to expanding cultural education, planned the creative program. They aimed to strengthen children's personalities through workshops like printing bags, crafting birds, and painting posters.
The festival offered a platform for cultural exchange. Musicians from the Integrated Comprehensive School Paffrath (IGP) performed, while the international women's group and ADFC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club) lent their support. Visitors could also savor delicacies from the Arab world at the festival's buffet. Throughout the autumn break, PAULA provided a variety of activities, including theater play and ukulele lessons.
