Park University is set to host its International Festival on Nov. 22, 2024, as part of International Education Week. The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Parkville Campus, offering a vibrant celebration of the university's multicultural community.

With over 500 students hailing from 70 countries, Park University's International Festival will showcase each country's unique and diverse characteristics. International students will represent their native countries, offering an authentic insight into their cultures.

From 5 to 6:30 p.m., attendees can indulge in an international buffet, featuring dishes from every continent. The buffet is priced at $16 for the public, while Park students and employees on a meal plan can enjoy the meal for free with their Park ID.

In the evening, at 7:30 p.m., the event will move to the Graham Tyler Memorial Chapel for a fashion show and cultural performances. Performances will include those from Three Trails Taiko, a Kansas City area organisation, and students from the University's International Center for Music.

Information booths and cultural activities will be available from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Mabee Learning Center/Academic Underground. The festival will feature countries from the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe. However, as of Oct. 28, the list of countries scheduled to be represented may change.
