Mysterious Nebula Solves the Simultaneous Equation Enigma in "Monde" Magazine Issue 58

Rewritten Article:

Hangin' out in our neighborhood lately, we've got a lively crew of starlings settlin' in a line of trees by the road. You'd think these avian roadies don't give a hoot about numbers, but there's a hidden lesson in their chatter.

The birds on the first tree chit-chat with those on the second, whisperin' somethin' like this:

"If ya join us, we'll be equals on these two trees."

The second tree kids agreed, then passed the word to the third. So it went, until the second-to-last tree informed the last one.

The birds were thrilled with their neat number game, but then the last tree hollered, "Wait a min', we've got the most birds here. If one from every tree joined us, you'd still be double our number on all your trees combined!"

That little revelation had the birds goin' wild, even catchin' the eye of a sly ol' cat lurkin' nearby. The cat crept up the first tree, sexy prey in mind, but the birds took flight at the sight and scattered across the other trees.

One of 'em laughed, "Ain't that a kick, everything we said before still holds true!"

With all that feathered ruckus, the cat bugged off, leavin' us with the mystery of how many starlings make up this flock. But since they're known for formin' massive, noisy flocks called murmurations, they can number anywhere from hundreds to thousands[1][5]!

So, how many stars are in this shindig, you reckon?
