The Hallertau region, renowned for its rich culture, tradition, and hop farming, is set to introduce a series of digital tours as part of the LEADER project "The Digital Hallertau Experience". Approved on June 12, 2025, the project aims to make the region more appealing and well-known.

Led by project leader Carolin Meinhold, Hopfenland Hallertau Tourism e.V. has joined forces with four local action groups: LAG Landkreis Kelheim e.V., LAG Landkreis Landshut e.V., LAG Mittlere Isarregion e.V., and LAG Landkreis Pfaffenhofen a.d.Ilm e.V. The project is backed by the European funding program LEADER with a total of 30,432 euros.

The digital offering includes four audio tours that will make the region's culture, tradition, history, and hop farming accessible and engaging for both locals and tourists. Two digital city tours are planned for Wolnzach and Mainburg, and two digital bike tours are in the pipeline.

One bike tour will take visitors from Rudelzhausen via Au i. d. Hallertau and Nandlstadt to Freising. Another tour will explore the ILE Holledauer Tor area. Tina Schuler, manager of the lead LAG Landkreis Pfaffenhofen, notes that the project creates a free leisure activity that will enrich the Hallertau experience.

Project leader Carolin Meinhold emphasizes that the aim of the project is to enhance, expand, and attract new target groups to the Hallertau experience for both guests and locals. Agnes Stiglmaier and Tina Schuler officially handed over the approval notice to Carolin Meinhold.

The exact partner for the European LEADER funding program that took over the financing for the project is not explicitly mentioned in the provided search results. However, the project is set to begin, promising a digital Hallertau experience that is both informative and enjoyable.
