Large crowd of 250,000 people expected in Torremolinos for the Romeria & San Miguel celebrations
Get ready for an exciting week of festivities in Torremolinos, as the annual Romeria and Feria de San Miguel takes place from September 25 to 29. This event, known as Andalusia's most significant urban pilgrimage, promises a vibrant mix of tradition and modern entertainment.
The celebrations kick off on September 21, with the Romeria de San Miguel. Thousands will head on foot to the mountains to pick wild rosemary, accompanied by ox- and horse-drawn carts, flamenco, and regional songs. The traditional contest for the best-decorated carts and tractors will also be held during this time.
On Friday, September 20, the "Amigos de Clasicos" vintage car rally will take place. Approximately 250,000 people are expected to attend the celebrations, with locals and visitors enjoying wine, Iberian ham, and Andalusian performances.
