Kazakhstan Launches New Visas to Attract Digital Nomads
Kazakhstan has launched new visa options to attract international digital nomads, aiming to become a global hub for remote work. The country offers appealing conditions, such as modern cities and advanced digital infrastructure, to lure professionals seeking new bases for their work-from-anywhere lifestyles.
The Neo Nomad Visa (B12-1) allows a temporary stay of up to one year for professionals working for international clients or companies. By July 22, the first two visas were issued, indicating early interest in the news. The Kazakh government has also introduced the Digital Nomad Visa (B9-1), targeting IT professionals who can convert it into a permanent residence permit under certain conditions. Additionally, the Digital Nomad Residency Program offers a simplified path to permanent residence for highly qualified IT professionals.
Applicants for all three programs must prove a regular income from abroad, usually at least $3,000 per month. Kazakhstan forecasts annual economic growth of up to five percent between 2023 and 2026, creating an attractive environment for international talent.
Kazakhstan's new visa options for digital nomads signal its commitment to establishing itself as a location for global remote work. With attractive conditions and a growing economy, the country aims to draw international professionals in digital jobs, contributing to its modern, technology-oriented migration policy.
