Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde to Open in 2025

The Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde, the first Hyatt Centric branded hotel in Puerto Rico, is set to open its doors in 2025, following a transformation from the former Verdanza Hotel [1][2][3]. Located in the vibrant Isla Verde neighbourhood, this upscale lifestyle hotel will offer guests a convenient base, just a stone's throw away from the beach, shops, and restaurants.

The property is currently undergoing a comprehensive 25-million-dollar renovation project, which will update all guest rooms, suites, and public spaces. Upon completion, the hotel will feature 223 guest rooms, an open-air beer garden, a coffee shop, a fitness center, and a resort-style pool area with a restaurant and bar.

Guests will have the added advantage of complimentary access to the nearby Vivo Beach Club, which boasts a private, ocean-front beach club, three restaurants, four bars, an outdoor concert space, and Ocean Lab Brewing Co. micro-brewery.

Exact details regarding the World of Hyatt category and points cost per night for this hotel have not been publicly disclosed. However, given its location and Hyatt Centric branding, it is expected to fall into a mid-range category, such as Category 3 to 5. If it does end up as a Category 4 (or lower), it could be an excellent option for using Category 1-4 free night certificates.

The Hyatt Centric San Juan Isla Verde will join other Hyatt hotels in Puerto Rico, including Hyatt Place San Juan, Hyatt House San Juan, Hyatt Place Bayamon, Hyatt Place Manati, and Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico. The hotel is also conveniently located just a 5-minute drive from San Juan's international airport, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travellers.

World of Hyatt points can be easily earned by staying at Hyatt hotels and spending on Hyatt credit cards, and also by transferring points from Chase Ultimate Rewards. For precise points requirements, checking Hyatt’s official website or World of Hyatt program updates post-opening will be necessary.
