Honda Marks CR-V's 30th Anniversary with Dream Pod: A Compact In-Car Camping Solution
Honda's CR-V SUV marks its 30th anniversary this year. To celebrate, Honda has crafted a unique, one-off CR-V Dream Pod, a compact in-car camping solution that blends comfort and technology.
The CR-V Dream Pod, inspired by Japan's capsule hotels, accommodates two people. It features the EGOE Nestboard 650, a compact camping solution with a double mattress and a cooking stove. For privacy, it includes blackout covers and a retractable blind. The interior also boasts 'tech pods' with LED reading lights, pull-out side tables, and USB charging sockets.
To capture the beauty of the night sky, Honda sent astrophotographer Michael Shainblum into the Italian Alps. Using the Dream Pod, he created stunning images of the cosmos. The Dream Pod is based on the plug-in hybrid CR-V, offering an all-electric range of 79km.
The CR-V Dream Pod is Honda's innovative way to celebrate the CR-V's 30th anniversary. It combines the CR-V's practicality with the comfort and convenience of a compact camping solution, perfect for adventurers and stargazers alike.
