Hamburg's Elbpark Entenwerder will host the Futur 2 Festival on 27 August 2022, marking its return after a pandemic-induced hiatus. The festival, organized by an unknown entity, aims to demonstrate that large-scale events can be environmentally friendly.
The event will serve organic beer brewed on-site by Wildwuchs Brauwerk from Wilhelmsburg. Food options will be strictly vegetarian to vegan, sourced from regional organic farming. Admission is free, encouraging a wide audience to attend.
In a bid to minimize waste, the catering concept employs reusable systems, reducing waste per visitor to a mere 26 grams. The festival's power needs will be met regeneratively, utilizing solar energy, batteries, and even bicycle power.
The Futur 2 Festival in Hamburg is set to be a sustainable celebration, focusing on climate protection and eco-friendly practices. With free admission, organic food and beer, and minimal waste, it promises an enjoyable day for all attendees while keeping the environment in mind.
