Fresh orders placed for additional episodes of Fresh Cuts by ITV

In an exciting development, ITV has announced the commissioning of more episodes for the unscripted series "Fresh Cuts" in 2025. This marks the fourth year of the programme, which aims to support and showcase productions led by People of Colour (POC) and Deaf, Disabled, or Neurodivergent (DDN) individuals.

The selected production companies for the series will be appointed by May 2025. Tigerlily Films, Somewhereto Productions, and Dancing Frog Films have been chosen to produce one individual 22-minute programme each. These productions will be aired on ITV's YouTube channel and ITVX.

The commissioning of Fresh Cuts is part of ITV's Diversity Commissioning Spend, a £80 million ring-fenced fund dedicated to diverse projects over the next three years. The programmes commissioned by ITV can be shown during Black History Month and UK Disability History Month.

ITV Commissioning Editor Richard Botchway and Nahrein Kemp, DEI & Talent Lead, are overseeing the commissioning of these programmes. Both express enthusiasm for the ideas they anticipate receiving from the selected companies. Botchway stated that Fresh Cuts is a great opportunity for POC and DDN led companies to get an ITV commission. Kemp announced the return of Fresh Cuts, expressing her excitement for the diverse talent that will be showcased.

The deadline for submissions for Fresh Cuts is April 26th, 2025. Prospective production companies are encouraged to submit their proposals for a chance to be a part of this groundbreaking series.

With the commissioning of Fresh Cuts, ITV continues its commitment to diversity and inclusion, providing a platform for underrepresented voices and fostering creativity and innovation in the media industry.
