1. The destinations that stole your heart - where did you wander, and when was it?
Carol Letman, from Mississauga, Ont., chose Namibia back in February 2019.
2. Comfort Clarified - where did you rest your weary head?
The voyage took Carol to numerous bed-down spots, but her personal favorite was the Namib Desert Camp in Sossusvlei.
3. Highlights That Steal the Show - what moments stood out for you, and why?
For Carol, it was difficult to single out a favorite memory, but a few adventures truly left an impression. Seeing wildlife by the Okaukuejo water hole in Etosha National Park, conquering the Big Mama Dune in Sossusvlei, and marveling at the ancient rock carvings at Twyfelfontein held a special place in her heart.
4. Traveler's Tips - any advice for those planning a similar adventure?
Carol's recommendation is to rent a vehicle and handpick your destinations. Be sure to secure adequate insurance and a sturdy spare tire for those rugged Namibian roads. Fill up on gas as often as possible and keep plenty of water on hand. Don't forget to book accommodations in advance to ensure a comfy place to unwind each night, and check out Namibia Wildlife Resorts for options across the country. Happy Exploring!
