Einride Secures $100M to Expand Autonomous, Electric Freight Solutions Worldwide
Swedish freight tech innovator Einride has secured $100 million in funding to expand its autonomous and electric freight solutions worldwide. Since its inception in 2016, Einride has assembled one of the globe's largest fleets of heavy-duty electric trucks, aiming to tackle industry challenges such as high emissions and labor shortages.
Einride's proprietary Saga planning platform combines advanced digital planning with electric and autonomous vehicles. The company has already achieved significant milestones, including completing the world's first cableless autonomous border crossing between Norway and Sweden. With the new funding led by existing investors EQT Ventures and strategic investor IonQ, Einride is poised to continue innovating in autonomous and electric freight technology.
Founded by Robert Falck, Einride has seen remarkable growth. In 2024, the company doubled its net sales and expanded into Austria and the UAE. Einride's CEO, Roozbeh Charli, has expressed that the latest funding will accelerate the deployment of its autonomous freight tools, further cementing its position as a practical solution to environmental pressures and driver shortages in the freight industry.
With $100 million in new funding, Einride is set to advance its autonomous and electric freight solutions globally. The company's innovative Saga planning platform and impressive track record, including the world's first cableless autonomous border crossing, make it a leader in tackling industry challenges and reducing emissions.
