In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Andreas Mauska and Evelyn Werner, the former royal couple, recently organised a carnival event that raised a total of 54,000 euros for three charitable causes.
The event, held on Wednesday (4.6.), saw the couple accepting symbolic checks of 13,500 euros each, on behalf of the recipients, at the Udo-Meeteren hall of the Clara Schumann music school. The music school's support association was one of the beneficiaries, with Venus Nicole Nothen, the youth representative and designated Venus, accepting the check on their behalf.
The youth wind orchestra of the music school provided a musical backdrop to the ceremony, performing a piece from the Japanese anime film "My Neighbor Totoro" and the hit "El Cumbanchero".
Philipp Weinhausen, the director of the Clara Schumann music school, and Michael Bremen, chairman of the support association, gratefully accepted the check for their organisation.
Another recipient was the Ambulatory Children and Youth Hospice Service (AKHD), with Dorothea van Uum and Nora May, representing the AKHD Düsseldorf, accepting the check on their behalf.
In addition to these, Venus Nicole Nothen, who plans to collect for social causes in the next session with her prince Markus, announced that the CC youth also received a donation of 27,000 euros.
Before the distribution, the royal couple reminisced fondly about their carnival session, expressing their enjoyment of the challenging time at the event. Andreas Mauska stated that they were proud to be part of the donation project.
The ceremony concluded with a spirit of unity and a renewed sense of community support, as the donations were distributed to make a difference in the lives of many.
