In 2025, the DiscoverEU initiative, funded by Erasmus+, invites young individuals to embark on a journey across Europe, experiencing diverse cultures, history, and landscapes. To participate, candidates must adhere to the eligibility criteria and follow the application process.
Eligibility
To be eligible for DiscoverEU, applicants should have been born between July 1, 2006, and June 30, 2007. Candidates from EU countries or third countries associated with the Erasmus+ program, such as Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Türkiye, are eligible.
Application Procedure
The application period for DiscoverEU in 2025 will begin on April 2, 2025, and close on April 16, 2025. Selected participants can explore Europe from July 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, for up to 30 days. Travel can be undertaken alone or with up to four friends, provided they all meet the eligibility criteria. To create a group, candidates should utilize their applicant code. Additionally, travelers can collaborate with others in the DiscoverEU Facebook group to plan their trip.
Support System
DiscoverEU is committed to fostering an inclusive environment. Young people with disabilities or health restrictions will benefit from special support. Furthermore, national Erasmus+ agencies aid with travel preparations and organize gatherings for participants.
DiscoverEU Ambassadors
Upon selection, participants will become ambassadors for DiscoverEU and share their experiences via social media, using the hashtag #DiscoverEU.
