The 2024/25 season at Ingolstadt City Theater has come to a close, marking the first season under the new management team led by Intendant Oliver Brunner, Chief Dramaturg Sonja Walter, Senior Director Mirja Biel, and Young Theater Director Julia Mayr. The theater opened its doors to the city, celebrating its first visible successes, with city dramaturg Lisa Maria Schacher playing a significant role in these achievements.

The season's program stood for courage, experimental joy, and a clear stance. Particularly noteworthy were the pieces Pembo and the theater project The Conference of the Animals, involving 45 partner schools. The production of Istanbul showed that especially the Turkish communities developed great interest in the theater and brought new perspectives into the auditorium.

The season finale in Tower Baur with The Jester achieved an impressive occupancy rate of over 90%. Over 100,000 spectators visited the performances at Ingolstadt City Theater during the 2024/25 season, corresponding to an occupancy rate of around 80%.

Young theater and artistic mediation initiatives received great response, with around 50,000 visitors and participants. A special highlight was the theatrical city walk Gap to Happiness, where a 10-member city ensemble from completely different social areas participated.

Intendant Oliver Brunner expressed gratitude for the audience's trust, stating that the positive feedback encourages them for the future. Julia Mayr, the Young Theater Director, stated that they are currently reaching capacity limits in these areas but there's potential for more.

Preparations for the 2025/26 season at Ingolstadt City Theater are already in full swing. The team looks forward to continuing to provide courageous, experimental, and engaging theater to the city of Ingolstadt.

In the upcoming 2025/26 season at Ingolstadt City Theater, the focus on courage and experimental joy is expected to extend beyond the stage, with expanded offerings in lifestyle, fashion-and-beauty, food-and-drink, home-and-garden, and relationships.

Julia Mayr, the Young Theater Director, hinted at collaborations with local businesses and artists, aiming to create unique experiences that cater to diverse interests.

Travelers planning a visit to Ingolstadt during the upcoming season can anticipate special events and performances, as the theater continues to attract audiences from various backgrounds.

Car enthusiasts may also find interest in the theater's initiatives, with potential partnerships and events centered around the city's rich automotive history.
