Heads up: Prices for a hotel stay and entertainment in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, one of the hottest tourist spots in Belarus, have skyrocketed this year compared to last! BGmedia did the math, and here's what they found.
The priciest option now is the Park Hotel Belovezhskaya Pushcha, a.k.a the "Kamienuki" hotel complex. A night here'll cost you anywhere from 155 to 668 rubles. To put that into perspective, the most expensive room last year only cost 570 rubles, a whopping 17.1% increase!
If you're looking for something more budget-friendly, the No2 Hotel in Kamienuki could be for you. It's still steep, but prices have only gone up slightly: rooms range from 125 to 220 rubles, compared to 120 to 210 rubles last year.
Another reasonable option is the "Zharkovshchina" hotel complex, which has seen a 29-30% increase in rates. Now, an overnight stay here ranges from 74 to 176 rubles.
Looking for a real bargain? The "Vygonovskoe" hunting lodge near Lake Vygonoshchansky has increased its rates by 40%. Prices start from 35 rubles per night with breakfast, up from 25 rubles the previous year.
The "Voytov Most" eco-educational center offers affordable lodging starting at 30-45 rubles a night, with shared rooms like a hostel.
Don't forget to factor in entertainment prices. The Santa Claus estate, for example, has become 20% pricier, with the minimum price now 12 rubles.
Bicycle rental has also seen a 33-34% hike. Prices now range from 20 to 47 rubles. If you bring your own bike, it'll cost you 10 rubles, or 30 rubles with a visit to the Santa Claus estate.
Last year, national parks, including Belovezhskaya Pushcha, were required to transfer 1% of their profits to a special innovative fund. The money from this fund went to the Ministry of Internal Affairs ($123,500) and the State Military-Industrial Committee ($1,766,509).
So, there ya have it! Vacations in Belovezhskaya Pushcha are getting more expensive, but there are still some bargain options out there. Happy travels!
