Airbus & Netherlands Strengthen Partnership with Royal Visit & Key Agreements
Airbus and the Netherlands have strengthened their partnership with several agreements signed during a royal visit. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima toured Airbus' Toulouse headquarters, witnessing collaborations in innovation, defence, and sustainability.
The royal couple visited the A350 Final Assembly Line and viewed the H225M helicopter. This underscored the deep partnership between Airbus and the Dutch aerospace industry. During the visit, several key agreements were signed.
Airbus is bolstering its innovation footprint in the Netherlands with four new agreements. These focus on disruptive technologies and academic collaboration. Additionally, Airbus Helicopters signed four commercial agreements with key Dutch industrial partners. These agreements emphasize sustainable use, local employment, and technological innovation in defence.
In another development, KLM, Airbus, and TLD SAS have launched a collaboration. They aim to certify an electric Taxibot for KLM's Airbus A320neo fleet. Meanwhile, French and Dutch vocational colleges for aerospace technology have partnered to address the sector's skilled worker shortage.
